Pop-Up Wine Stores

Just in time for National Wine Day -- arguably the most important wine holiday of them all -- the wine delivery service Aldi is opening a wine pop-up store in East London.

The wine pop-up store will feature the same wines they offer from their delivery service and will also offer displays and stations where customers can order bottles that will later be delivered to them. A sommelier will also take part in the three-day event and will be around to assist customers with which wines they should try. The pop-up store will also offer wine classes such as teaching wine basics and learning how to pair wines with cheeses.

The fact that the online delivery service is choosing to open a pop-up store and potentially pursue opening a permanent store shows that despite the rise in online delivery services, retail stores remain profitable avenues that better allow companies to engage with their customers.
