The Windowseat Lounge has an unorthodox silhouette that some may find mystifying. Despite its traditional backrest and base, the Windowseat Lounge boasts a rectangular enclosure that promotes privacy in a fun way. Unlike other similar designs, there is a break between the backrest and enclosure that allows the sitter to play a game of peak and boo with friends and strangers.
Designed by Mike & Maaike for furniture producer Hawthorne, the Windowseat Lounge is part of the Hawthorne collection. Inspired by common architectural elements including walls and ceilings, it explores "the idea of sub-architectural space, creating a room-within-a-room complete with its own unique perspective," as written on the studio's website.
Perfect for the home or office, the Windowseat Lounge boasts a foam-padded rigid steel frame. It comes in three colors: yellow, black and white.
