Let’s get one thing straight before trying to find the hidden beauty in these William Miller images: the Gowanus Canal is filthy and desperately needs some serious help.
It is normal for people to accept the fact that these images hold certain attractiveness, but that is only because William Miller is a genius. He has used choice lighting, timing and has found patterns that would normally seem appealing if it weren’t made from poison and found in a body of water.
That being said, these images are completely captivating and intriguing. I enjoy the way he was able to switch the perspective of these images—it is a great example of how the media can do the same.
