Group chats can be incredibly useful, but ultimately quite annoying, thankfully a new WhatsApp group chat feature ends the chaos of multiple messages. Essentially, the new update limits users from posting on group chats and only allows approved administrators to send messages. This limit ensures that WhatsApp group chats stay on topic and fulfill intended purposes, rather than devolving into a flurry of unwanted and unrelated chats.

WhatsApp has already established itself as a powerful tool for its group chat features and this new level of control adds onto existing group chat features. WhatsApp also recently released group descriptions, anti-spam tools and a catch-up feature, all of which make the app incredibly attractive for serial group chat users.

According to WhatsApp, "We’ve introduced this new setting so admins can have better tools."
