The all-new Turtle Reef is a self-sustaining wetland habitat located in SeaWorld San Antonio. Measuring at 126,000 gallons, this addition to the family-centric destination is an example of how brands, event spaces, and other activation are leading their business model in a more eco-conscious direction.
SeaWorld San Antonio turned to cutting-edge technology and advanced water purification infrastructures to create a sustainable state-of-the-art wetland habitat. It utilizes a "first-of-its-kind natural bio-filtration system" which is designed to deliver the natural wetland environment. The new addition to SeaWorld features threatened and endangered sea turtles that have been rescued and cannot be released back in the ocean. The new space also has an affordability factor as energy costs for SeaWorld San Antonio will go down thanks to sustainable water use.
