Frozen West African Dishes

AYO Foods & Chef Alum Eric Adjepong Created West African Dishes

The newest additions to AYO Foods' frozen line includes a pair of West African dishes created with Ghanian-born, Top Chef Alum, Chef Eric Adjepong. Tapping into the desire for global flavors, the dishes are as easy to prepare as they are to enjoy. Inspired by West African favorites, Adjepong created Chicken Yassa (marinated and braised chicken thighs slow-cooked with caramelized onions, lemon and served over jasmine rice) and Waakye (beans and rice made with South Sea Island red peas and jasmine rice slow-cooked with coconut oil, millet leaves and red sauce.)

The bold and comforting flavors of these dishes helps to introduce people to West African cuisine, which has influenced everything from South American, Latin American and Caribbean to American food. The nutrient-dense frozen meals are conveniently packaged with vibrant colors to express their uniqueness.
