Wendy's Bacon Queso Products Liberally Apply the Cheesy Mexican Sauce

Queso is a divisive sauce, but the new Wendy's Bacon Queso menu options are banking on the pro-queso contingent outweighing the gooey sauce's naysayers. The international QSR has announced three new items that highlight queso: the Bacon Queso Burger, the Bacon Queso Chicken Sandwich, and Bacon Queso Fries.

The burger and chicken sandwich will both be placed between a spicy re jalapeno bun, and the fries will be topped with fire-roasted salsa, fresh red onions, and all-natural shredded cheddar cheese (along with the bacon and poblano queso, of course.)

Bacon has long been the favorite of extreme food lovers, but queso has been climbing that ladder in recent years. By combining the two ingredients, Wendy's is looking to appeal to the same people who go for the most extravagant and caloric options in the name of delicious flavor.
