Wenaha Wolf Advocates Howl for Justice With Anti-Poaching Billboard

Just two months after being fitted with a tracking collar, a young male Wenaha wolf was shot and killed by a poacher in Eastern Oregon. The wolf killing prompted some conservation groups to post a billboard and a YouTube video offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.

The Wenaha wolf billboard advertising the reward is drawing angry responses from some of the local ranchers who make the point that wolves should be shot because they kill cattle and impact the ranchers' livelihood. While some threaten to "burn the billboard down," others are planning a marketing campaign of their own.
