After hearing horror stories about smartphones dropped in toilet bowls and iPods spun in washing machines, I personally think the tech world is taking a step in the right direction by advancing design in the area of waterproof electronics. With CES 2013 happening from January 8-11 in Las Vegas, these inventions will be pushed even further to keep up with the competition.
Imagine taking a dip in the pool while listening to your favorite tracks on your music player. Or, perhaps, being caught in the rain and blasting your tunes with waterproof headphones without worrying if the tech toys in your waterproof carrying pouch are going to get short-circuited by the downpour. Accidental water spills wouldn't spell disaster with waterproof power strips. If these gadgets are any indication, the future looks water-friendly.
