No matter how tech savvy, everyone has had at least one situation where they simply couldn't figure out how to make a gadget go, and Vuforia Chalk is a new app that uses AR to help people escape those techno hold-ups. The app lets users draw on the screen to illustrate their point in explaining a device, making it easier for the user on the opposite end to understand what's happening, and those markings stay in the same place in AR thanks to object-tracking technology native to Vuforia Chalk.
Though one of the most recognizable use cases is surely a parent or grandparent who cannot for the life of them figure out how to make the blasted remote controller work, Chalk is just as necessary for clueless Millennials and Gen Zers. More than a few of those younger folks have waved the white flag after staring helplessly at the controls for a washing machine, for example.
