The Favor AR Pen Lets You Draw in Air and Print Interactive Photo Cards

The Favor AR Pen makes sending a message feel more physical and intentional by combining an AR-wand, mobile app, and photo printer into a single system. You use the pen to “draw” in air while your phone camera tracks the motion, the app turns your strokes into floating 3D text and animations, then the printer produces a photo card layered with your artwork. The receiver scans the card with a phone to reveal the hidden AR content floating above it.

The design emphasizes ceremony over instant messaging by encouraging users to stand up, draw, print, and share a card rather than tapping out a quick text. The hardware features soft-rounded shapes, pastel colours, and friendly interface cues to make the experience playful rather than technical. While the system is speculative and not yet a commercial product, the concept explores how digital and physical messaging can merge into a meaningful artefact.
