Verizon Has Purchased All of the VR Technology Owned by Jaunt

Verizon has purchased all of the AR and VR technology that was owned by Jaunt, however, details of the deal were not publicly released. The new technology assets will help Verizon bolster its software systems and more. The acquisition is also beneficial to Jaunt, where the Jaunt President & CEO, Mitzi Reaugh, spoke on the deal, "The Jaunt team has built leading-edge software and we are excited for its next chapter with Verizon.”

Jaunt was previously a prominent company in the VR industry, it had collaborated with a number of different organizations to develop AR and VR technology. Additionally, Jaunt had a VR app on many VR platforms, including PlayStation VR, Oculus, Vive, iOS and Android. This means that Verizon will benefit from Jaunt's experience in the industry.
