The Volvo Concept XC Coupe Shows Off its Safety at The NAIAS

Sophisticated, sleek and safe, the brand new two-door, four-seater Volvo Concept XC Coupe will be sure to roar its way to the top at the Detroit Motor Show.

The latest addition to Volvos Concept Coupe line, the Volvo Concept XC Coupe is designed in a way to highlight Volvo's new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) as well as its adventurous streak -- all the while looking compact and cool.

“Concept XC Coupe shows how clever engineering makes it possible for us to reinforce our world-leading safety without compromising design, size or weight. Thanks to extensive use of high-strength boron steel and structures with new, ingenious decoupling we can make SPA cars more compact and safer at the same time,” says Thomas Ingenlath, Senior Vice President Design of Volvo Car Group.

Inspired by its recent partnership with POC, a Swedish sports wear brand, the Volvo Concept Xc Coupe added swag to safety, promoting a more active lifestyle, helping the brand target new markets.
