Rhea Jeong was inspired by the 'Vinyl Killer' (the smallest record player in the world) when making 'Void', the record player that spins LPs in mid air.

This futuristic blast from the past also allows you to choose how high the record can play. The actual music player comes in the form of a small red ball with a built-in needle, speaker and amplifier.

Implications - Retro designs are continuing to grow in popularity as consumers have a soft spot in their hearts for styles from generations past. This reversion back to retro fashions can be interpreted as consumers tire of futuristic products and services. Consumers look to businesses to merge tradition with contemporary designs.
