It's now possible to make Vodafone UK calls through Amazon Echo devices, which will come as welcome news to subscribers who are looking to streamline their connectivity capabilities. Announced by the company as a new feature in the UK, the functionality will enable customers to make and receive calls to anyone using their existing smart speaker. This has been made possible through a joint collaboration with Amazon to help expand the Alexa voice assistant capabilities for an intuitive user experience.
The new voice assistant Vodafone UK calls functionality was spoken on by Consumer Director at Vodafone UK Max Taylor who said, "We are of course proud to be the first to offer this service globally but more importantly provide another easy way for our customers to stay connected. Vodafone UK customers can now tap into their mobile call allowances, doing away with their landlines, and through an integrated address book make or receive calls over Alexa devices in the home."
