Banana Republic Designs Virgin America Uniforms for a Fresh New Look

Banana Republic, known for its professional and polished yet stylish clothing, has created the new Virgin America uniforms. The fashion brand launched a Project Runway-style design challenge among its top designers, who devised their own versions of what they thought the new Virgin America uniforms should look like and competed against one another to design the winning uniform.

The result is a hip and modern revamp of the Virgin America uniforms, featuring fresh details like shoulder epaulettes, contrast trimming and an overall sleek and sophisticated look. The new uniforms, comprising nine different looks for men and 13 for the ladies, will be rolled out to all airline employees, who will begin sporting the new look on August 8, which is also Virgin America's 5th anniversary.

In addition to the new Virgin America uniforms, Banana Republic has also designed a travel wear range for Virgin America flyers. The range includes classic trench coats, aviator sunnies, leather travel bags and more.
