Shabby Apple Boutique Releases Green Leaf Line Using Vintage-Inspired Photos

— June 20, 2011 — Art & Design
Shabby Apple makes custom, one-of-a-kind dresses that have been creatively designed and beautifully executed. Green Leaf is the new line of 100% silk hand-crafted dresses that achieve the highest standard of fabrics and attention to couture inspired details.

Some the dresses have tulle, sequin or lace detailing, but all have short sleeves and are knee-length for a vintage look.

Several designers inspired the line. The collection’s designer, and company founder, Athelia Woolley stated, “I created this line to pay homage to the greats of the past; Chanel, Dior, Lanvin. Each skirt, seam and bow is reminiscent of the 20’s, 40’s or 50’s.”

Shabby Apple is a company started by two women who wanted to provide a conservative work dress with the feminine touch.

Shabby Apple uses their fashions to benefit women and their families by giving five percent of every dress purchased to Unitus, a non-profit organization in India.

Emily McCormick and Athelia Woolley decided to do something about current fashion trends of baring more skin and launched Shabby Apple in December of 2006. Shabby Apple's products are distributed online and through clothing boutiques around the country.
