Amsterdam-based design firm Feiz Design Studio which was co-founded by industrial designer Khodi Feiz and graphic designer Anneko Feiz-van Dorssen presents the Vika lighting series made in collaboration with Sweden-based acoustics company Abstracta. The adaptable collection is inspired by the felt wing that has modular elements -- it can function as a sound-dampening screen and as a light sculpture all at once.
The Vika provides a warm illumination whilst capturing noise pollution in the space for a calm and soothing ambiance. The base of the Vika is made using recycled PET bottles that are altered into the desired shape before being covered with Texfel fabric. The wing-like structure connects to an additional one to standalone or as multiples.
