Multi-Sensory Vibrating Sneakers

The Ep 01 Sneakers by Droplabs Let Wearers Feel Music & More

Ep 01 by Droplabs introduces a new kind of sensory experience with vibrating sneakers that let people feel everything from music and movies to games and much more. The sneakers were created by Brock Seiler, who was inspired when watching a band in the recording studio and felt the vibrations of the music through the floor.

The sneakers themselves contain Bluetooth technology, a speaker-grade transducer and a power source so that audio signals can be turned into sensations.

As well as helping to fully immerse people in their favorite music and movies, the vibrating sneakers have the potential to enhance VR experiences—especially by increasing proprioception, body’s sense of itself in space, which may also help with reducing feelings of nausea that virtual experiences sometimes create.
