Seiko Prospex 1965 Heritage Shohei Ohtani Limited Edition is a pair of mechanical diver’s watches created to recognize Shohei Ohtani’s recent achievements in Major League Baseball. Based on the original 1965 Diver’s design, the models feature a 40 mm stainless steel case with 300 meters of water resistance and a black dial accented with gold-tone hands and markers. The crown is engraved with Ohtani’s jersey number “17,” and the bracelet clasp carries his signature. Each watch includes an individually numbered caseback and is presented in special commemorative packaging.
The release is limited to 1,700 pieces per version. Subtle color detailing references Ohtani’s team palette while maintaining the proportions and tool-watch aesthetic of the heritage diver. The watches are powered by Seiko’s in-house automatic movement and feature a unidirectional rotating bezel and luminous hands for underwater legibility.
