Deconstructed Sneaker Masks

Zhijun Wang Adapted Nike's VaporMax Sneakers to Be a Face Mask

Zhijun Wang, a designer who's based out of Beijing, recently added to his selection of offerings with a face mask that he constructed out of a pair of VaporMax sneakers from Nike.

As this particular VaporMax sneaker model was made in collaboration with CLOT, Wang dedicates the creative deconstruction of it to the brand's founder, Edison Chen. To make the face mask, Wang makes use of different parts of the VaporMax sneakers' souls and uppers, which he then fastens together with a drawstring at the back that allows wearers to fit it comfortably to their faces.

As face masks are a popular accessory in areas where there's a lot of air pollution, as well as among those who are trying to prevent the spread of viruses, Wang's creative transformation of the collaborative Nike model gives consumers a more fashionable option to choose from.
