Forget the usual hotel bar menu. Cosmo Pony has taken inspiration from Jakarta’s street food stalls, markets and everyday food culture for Jakarta: Unfiltered, its third cocktail menu at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta. Presented as a menuzine, the collection features 21 drinks that give guests a taste of the city through familiar local ingredients and dishes.
Among them is the Jasuke Martini, inspired by a popular street snack of corn, cheese and condensed milk, and the Ugly Bananas, a whisky sour made with overripe bananas. Rather than simply borrowing local names, the drinks reinterpret these everyday flavours as cocktails, including ingredients that might otherwise go to waste.
The menu also includes zero-proof options and larger-format drinks, bringing different ways to enjoy the collection into the same Jakarta-inspired theme. Its menuzine format gives the drinks a wider story, drawing on the city beyond the usual tourist references.
