The Urban Arrow was made by a group of Dutch designers who were looking to improve upon the Bakfiets cargo bike. Bakfiets are great for carrying cargo, but are heavy and provide a less-than-comfortable ride for passengers. The Urban Arrow’s cargo hold is made out of polypropylene (EPP) high-density foam. This foam allows the cargo box to comfortably transport cargo and children as heavy as 242.5 pounds.
Another great feature of the Urban Arrow is that the front end can be reconfigured on demand. A locking cargo box, a rain cover and a small basket that makes the Urban Arrow look more like a normal bike are just a few of the attachments available. The Urban Arrow is powered by a 250-watt motor capable of hitting a top speed of 15.5 mph. The bike has a max range of 31 miles without cargo and 25 miles with cargo. The Urban Arrow sells for $3,691 (electric) and $2,440 (non-electric).
