Pet Donation-Focused Basketball Partnerships

Friskies Partners with University of Arizona Wildcats

Friskies has partnered with the University of Arizona Wildcats basketball team. As part of this effort, the company will donate 1,000 meals to the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter & Sanctuary in Tucson for every point the team scores during its historic run to the national semifinals.

Beyond the meal donations, Friskies is also providing a cash contribution to the shelter. This is noteworthy because the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter & Sanctuary in Tucson houses over 200 cats at any given time and rescues more than 700 annually in a cage-free, no-kill environment.

Brian Rooney, General Manager at Arizona Sports Enterprises, confirms the alignment: "The energy around this Wildcats team has been incredible, but knowing that every point we score is feeding shelter cats right here in Tucson makes it even more special. Friskies has been hyping us up since the beginning, and this partnership gives our fans and our community one more reason to cheer – and our team one more reason to win."
