Unilever Partners with IHG Hotels to Launch Sustainable Amenities

Unilever International has partnered with IHG Hotels & Resorts to help the chain reduce its use of single-use plastics. More specifically, the partnership will see the brand's hotels and resorts swap out bathroom miniatures for bulk amenities, which, as defined by the company, are any bottles or dispensers that are larger than 235ml in size and that are not replaced after a guest leaves.
Starting now, IHG Hotels & Resorts will begin offering guests a range of Dove products, including body wash, hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. All of these products will be offered in "full-sized" formats rather than in throw-away bottles. As a result of the switch, the company predicts that it will save approximately 850 tonnes of plastic per year in America alone.
