The previous versions of the device came in the form of flashlights that sat inside a shape of an apple -- with the fruit being one that rests on desks or that functioned as a key chain. The new Undercover Gilapple will feature a simple black and white clock rather than a light, as well as a larger design. The new design was released on the brand's Instagram page by Jun Takahashi.

With smartphones and laptops being as prevalent as they are, clocks like the Undercover Gilapple work to establish the device's relevance for decor and functionality purposes.
