This New Uber Update Lets You Trace the Journeys of Select People

This new Uber update allows you to track your family members as they commute using the ridesharing app.

'Family Profiles' enables a user to set up a profile with up to 10 friends or family members. Through this, they can trace trips so they can have a peace of mind in knowing that someone else is on their way home safely. In addition, loved ones can pay for the trips of others as well. Although this was possible before the latest Uber update, Family Profiles does not require users to input destination information themselves though their phone -- which can often create confusion between drivers and consumers.

The Uber update will also work with 'Uber for Business' -- an option that allows riders to expense the cost of their journey to their workplace.

With Traceable Rideshare, safety concerns of riders can be addressed by allowing riders to track their friends and loved ones on their commute.
Family Profiles
