One of the potential issues with a wholesale shift toward cryptocurrency is that the technology requires an internet connection in order to be used for exchanges, but with the TxTenna app from goTenna, cryptocurrency enthusiasts outside of the scope of the internet have the ability to stay financially effective. The app makes use of goTenna's mesh network routers to securely and privately transfer Bitcoin exchanges onto the blockchain.
goTenna's mesh routers have already been used as a way to provide internet access in areas that might not have any coverage. The routers can bounce internet signals with a radius of about three miles, meaning that people in distant areas can gain access to WiFi. The TxTenna app uses this to securely transfer cryptocurrency as well as more common data.
