The contemporary and minimalist Casamanda residence is a Tuscan farmhouse, located in the coastal Maremma area. The design of the structure is thoughtfully completed by Architects Valeria Presicci and Carlo Pantanella D'Ettorre. The house’s minimalist exterior effortlessly stands out with a simple yet elegant stone exterior. While the interior is quite pared-down, intentionally, of course, the architects who worked on this project focused on maximizing connections to the outdoors by giving way to breathtaking views of the surrounding wetlands.
The tonal qualities of the Tuscan farmhouse are also referred to in the design. The architects share with outspoken architecture site Dezeen that: “The house, which stands on the site of a pre-existing building, has been reinvented as a small, modern farmhouse where the elements of nature materially 'form' the architecture."
