Troll Tax is a clever new platform that's enabling individuals to make a donation to a progressive charity, in the name of a person posting hateful comments online.
If an individual sees a hateful tweet or social media comment, they can simply copy and paste the post's URL, and select a charity from an extensive list of non-profits which they would like to donate to. The charitable individual can then send a confirmation post to the online 'Troll' informing them that their hateful comments prompted a donation.
Some of the participating charities include Planned Parenthood, Human Rights Campaign Foundation and the International Center for Journalism. Troll Tax can be added as a Google extension, making it easier than ever to fight online bullies.
