Former regional director of the British Council and novice gardener Jan Long of Ledbury, Herefordshire England, has made some unique and valuable discoveries in her garden.
Shortly after her retirement, Long took up gardening as her past time and discovered that she has a golden thumb. Some of the centuries old treasures that have been unearthed at her 500 year old Victorian estate have been remarkably preserved.
You can see some of her rare finds including dozens of antique coins, an Edwardian chain-mail bag, and a solid gold Victorian watch pictured in this gallery.
