There are plenty of apps and websites that offer streamlined travel-booking services, but Amadeus is looking to the future with a tool that lets the entire process unfold in virtual reality.

Limited previews are typically available for prospective travelers as they make bookings, but this new VR experience from Amadeus is set to help travelers make all of the necessary travel arrangements without leaving an immersive, VR world.

Amadeus imagines that in the future, travelers will be able to virtually visit destinations, search for flights, walk through a plane to select their desired seat and browse different rental car models all within the framework of virtual reality. Within the VR world, Amadeus also details that payments could also potentially be made in this simulated environment with its Navitaire reservation platform concept.
