The Transcense app helps bridge the gap between the deaf and hearing in group conversations. It essentially brings real-time captioning to mobile phones that ensures everyone is on the same page at the same time.
The Transcense app was created by Thibault Duchemin, who was born into a Deaf family, Skinner Cheng, who is deaf but doesn't sign, Pieter Doevendans and Noore Kadri. The latter two learned American Sign Language. The Transcense app is not only useful for deaf individuals, but also hard-of-hearing. It helps them keep track of the conversation without missing out or trying to read lips.
