Modern Food Preservation Units

Matéo Robin Designs the Totem Food Preservation Unit

Matéo Robin designs the Totem system, which is a food preservation unit that is formed by integrating contemporary and historic technologies. The inspired stems from the Zeere pot which was what was anciently used to keep food fresh. The pot relied on an evaporating cooling system and the Totem also uses the historic technology in some parts with the double clay walls.

The unit can cut energy consumption in half which is integral for those who are looking to reduce electricity bills. The Totem also sections off to various segments and compartments in order to organize various food items. There is a unit for fruits and vegetables, tubes, and an area for food that needs ethylene.
