The common ladder is seen as an object meant to facilitate a single task, yet Tilt by SmithMatthias demonstrates how such a seemingly simple structure can have so much versatility. Lovely pale timber was used to construct the gradually tapering frame of the ascender that's finished with a careful sanding job to smooth out all of the joints.

Accompanying the set of steps is a basic ledge and an open caddy with several compartments. These have a pair of clips on the back so that they can be fastened easily to any of the rungs. These accessories turn the furnishing into a combination shelf and rack that would be wonderfully useful in bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms and shops to hold a wide variety of items.
