The Upright was developed by Modhaus as a Qi2.2 wireless charging stand that combines consumer electronics with furniture-inspired materials. The charger features a hand-cast concrete base paired with a solid hardwood face available in Walnut, Oak, or Black-Stained Oak. Weighing more than 600g, the stand remains stable during one-handed docking and removal, while its tapered form positions compatible devices at a 30-degree viewing angle for charging, FaceTime, StandBy mode, and Face ID. The soft-touch charging surface protects devices, and a protective bumper lines the underside of the base.
The charging stand delivers up to 25W of wireless power when paired with a 30W or higher USB-C adapter and supports MagSafe-compatible iPhones from the iPhone 12 onward, compatible Android devices with magnetic cases, and AirPods with MagSafe charging cases. The package includes a two-meter braided USB-C cable, while the power adapter is sold separately.

What Makes This Trend Stand Out
- Furniture-inspired Electronics
- Consumer tech products gain premium appeal when they borrow materials, forms, and tactile cues from interiors, creating room for devices that function as both tools and decor.
- Weighted Charging Accessories
- Heavier, stability-focused charging hardware addresses daily friction around docking and removal, signaling potential for accessories designed around ergonomics as much as power delivery.
- Magnetic Desk Companions
- Qi2 and MagSafe compatibility are expanding charging stands into always-visible desktop companions for video calls, glanceable displays, and multifunctional device placement.
Sectors Adopting This
- Consumer Electronics
- Material-led differentiation in charging devices creates openings for premium accessories that move beyond plastic utility into design-conscious lifestyle objects.
- Home Furnishings
- The blending of hardwood, concrete, and device support points to a growing overlap between small furniture, decor, and connected hardware categories.
- Mobile Accessories
- Cross-device magnetic charging standards are reshaping accessory ecosystems by supporting iPhones, Android devices, and earbuds within cohesive charging formats.
