Salvaged Wood Beach Houses

Feldman Architecture Designed 'The Surf House' with Reclaimed Wood

Feldman Architecture designed the Surf House in Santa Cruz. Clad in salvaged cypress wood, the beachfront home encapsulates Californian casual aesthetic and high design. Located on a bluff that overlooks the Pacific Ocean, the beach house boasts 417-square meters.

The weekend getaway home embraces the surrounding landscape. Its unassuming structure fits naturally and sustainably into its beachy scenery. The Surf House comprises three dwellings. The main structure boasts two stories and an indoor-outdoor living space with ocean views. A garage and a surf gear storage room occupy the front of the property, creating a courtyard between them. Monterey cypress wood is also used in the interior of the three buildings for its robust and regal qualities.
