Treasure Island Rolls Out the Loop Program in San Francisco

The Treasure Island Mobility Management Agency recently rolls out the Loop program on the streets of San Francisco. The program highlights an electric service where riders are able to board the autonomous vehicle for free with each one with an attendant to ensure safety. The buses operate from 9 am until 6 pm every day and take riders through the Treasure Island community at various stops.

Matt Dorsey, the Mobility Management Agency Chair and District 6 Supervisor at Treasure Island notes that “We are delighted to launch the new autonomous vehicle shuttle to serve Treasure Island. This is a community with unique transportation needs and challenges, and this innovative pilot will give us insight into how autonomous vehicles can enhance neighborhood access and promote community-wide learning.”
