Founded by Ebele Ifedigbo and based in Oakland, The Hood Incubator looks to address the lack of diversity in legal marijuana industry. The focus of the incubator is to tackle these issues through community organizing, policy and advocacy, and economic development.
The Hood Incubator currently offers a business accelerator program for the cannabis industry. The program focuses on mentorship for entrepreneurs and apprenticeship for those looking to join the industry.The Hood Incubator recently partnered with rare cannabis distributor Eaze, and both hope that the partnership will lead to meaningful strides in the Marijuana industry. The Hood Incubator is hoping to further its growth by creating an investment fund specifically for black and brown cannabis entrepreneurs.
