The Folio Society joins Marvel editor Roy Thomas on a special project to celebrate Marvel's 80s anniversary, honoring The Golden Age 1939–1949. The collaborative duo unveils an impressive coffee table collection made up of five full comics that are specifically selected to capture the company's 'Golden Age.'
The special set features a hardcover book with 272 pages, a limited print by modern Marvel artist Marco D'Alfonso, and a replica of the first-ever Marvel comic produced in 1939. The vintage comics features The Golden Age 1939–1949 drawn directly from the archived and carefully scanned to ensure accuracy. This brings a strong sense of nostalgia and pride as it celebrates the hard work by creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby throughout. The capsule blends together the past with the present, also featuring a handmade clamshell encasing along with artowrk created by D'Alfonso. The entire capsule is curated, edited, and unveiled by Roy Thomas.
