The Fancy is combining the appeal of 'pinned' images from Pinterest with online shopping. The site allows users to amass inspirational, stylish or coveted photos on to boards, and to subsequently buy products, vacations or packages based on those pictures.

This e-commerce approach to virtual gawking is a product of The Fancy's partnership with American Express. Well-known bloggers such as Jane Aldridge and Kelly Framel offer their style advice on the pages, making the concept all the more informative.

The website isn't reserved exclusively for fashion however. Snapshots collected of remote locations can be converted into trips, taking users to their dream spots. Rugs, chairs, lamps and a series of interior design elements can also be purchased for decor fanatics.
