Pinterest Adds Browsable Catalogs That Display Prices

Pinterest has added a price display to its browsable catalogs, which can be accessed under 'Product Pins.' This is where users can tap a button that will bring them to the brand's browsable catalog that now displays each product price. Users can select a product and be taken directly to the retailer's website where purchases can be made.

On top of the new price points on the browsable catalogs, Pinterest is also adding a "Picked for You" section in the home feed. These are products derived from previous user selections, and there are also browsable catalogs for users to go through.

An analytics company Neustar has investigated the use of browsable catalogs and it indicated that this strategy is 2.3 times more efficient at promoting sales.
