The Carnerie is the brainchild of Turner designers and aims to assist in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This home appliance will allow users to grow their own cultured meat in their own kitchens. Seeing as 25% of the world's land is used for animal grazing and growing, this alternative to meat farming could reestablish global biodiversity.
The conceptual device uses the cultured meat growing process from extracted animal cells. While it is still approximately 20 years away from production, the Carnerie will be controlled by an app. Users will be able to order cell capsules from local farms to grow a variety of meats. Cultured meat allows us to significantly reduce humanity's environmental impact while maintaining our eating habits.
