Fear of God and Grey Ant works in collaboration with one another on the 1983 sunglasses made with inspiration from the 80s. The retro frames are made by hand to exude an "unequaled confidence and rebelliousness that characterized the historic decade.”
In respects to the frames on the sunglasses, it is inspired by old American archetypes as they are made in Italy. Utilizing gunmetal-plated hinges for security, it holds together Carl Zeiss lenses and uses Italian cellulose acetate materials. For addition comfort, it has adjustable nose pads to fit every face of wearers comfortably. The 1983 sunglasses launch along with the Seventh Collection by Fear of God and is defined to be the "new American luxury."
