The Terzetto Flat Extension Has a Bold Form with Green Terrazzo & Concrete

— September 1, 2025 — Art & Design
The Terzetto flat extension by ConForm Architects transforms a lower-ground flat in West Hampstead into a bright, sculptural retreat. Inspired by Victorian bay windows, the new form features angled green terrazzo columns rising from a concrete plinth, topped with a clay-toned plaster canopy. This bold composition reorients the living space toward the garden while honoring the geometry of the original building.

Light flows in through new skylights and clerestory glazing, helping to soften the space and draw attention to key materials. A three-leaf sliding pocket door allows the living room to shift into a private guest space, maximizing flexibility. Inside, raw finishes and detailed transitions give the flat a quiet richness. With Terzetto, ConForm Architects create an elegant blend of spatial utility and material contrast that feels grounded, modern, and contextually respectful.
