A lot of people may assume that the relationship between teens and Facebook is ironclad, an invincible partnership that ensures teenagers are constantly connected through the world’s most popular social media network.
Not so fast. According to this heavily researched infographic by Right Mix Marketing, the hold between teens and Facebook may be starting to show cracks in the foundation. The biggest reason cited from the drop off in teenage Facebook users is that their parents are on the social media network, monitoring their interactions and posts. According to the chart, one in two parents created a Facebook account for the purpose of keeping tabs on their teens. Apparently the new online social media retreat of choice for teens is blogging network Tumblr.
