Swedish consumer electronics company Teenage Engineering recently introduced the 16, 170 and 400: a musical keyboard and sequencer controller, a monophonic analog synthesizer and sequencer, and an analogue modular synthesizer unit, respectively. All of the products are compatible with one another, as well as other synths and modules from other companies.
Although much more affordable than many others on the market, the self-assembly products do not sacrifice on sound quality. The products are made from a bendable aluminum sheet metal, which consumers will have to fold up to create the frame. Detailed instructions are included to guide consumers through the rest of the set up process as well, with all the necessary parts included to build the different pieces.
