Kittens can now be as small as a tea cup. Known for their miniature-sized physique, teacup kittens have become a huge business for cat breeders.
Teacups have been bred to be smaller than the standard cat size through inbreeding.

Their weight ranges anywhere from 3 to 7.5 pounds. They are available in a variety of breeds.

Implications - Kitten breeders find that breeding the smallest cat of one kind with the smallest cat of a different kind make for the best and smallest Teacup kittens. Generations of breeding have been done to try and find the perfect way to create these itty-bitty creatures. Many people are sad when their kittens grow up, but this is a way to keep them that small forever!
