— September 13, 2025 — Tech
The TCL DR2 Max Retrofit Smart Lock was debuted by the brand at IFA 2025 as an ultra-secure home technology product that incorporates multilevel authentication to offer peace of mind for users.

The lock works by being installed at entryways where it will go to work keeping them protected with three kinds of biometric technology including 3D facial recognition, fingerprint authentication and palm vein scanning. The biometric technologies are engineered with military-grade accuracy to offer peace of mind.

The TCL DR2 Max Retrofit Smart Lock is also engineered with a precision gyroscope that will automatically lock the door upon being closed to eliminate the need for manual activation. The lock also keeps biometric data encrypted and secure locally to further ensure privacy.
