Currently, Uber is one of the most popular taxi services available, however, an LA-based app called 'Opoli' may soon be stiff competition.

Opoli operates in a very similar manner to Uber but instead of predictably high fare rates, Opoli lets users negotiate prices through the app. After a user inputs their location, all profiles of nearby drivers pop up, allowing users to choose an appropriate personality and even car type.
